The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch – 10 April 2025
What a great day was had at the Guildhall on Thursday 10th April, for the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch! Past Master Peter Cooper was always a big supporter of this event, but in his absence Jan Hutchinson (New Spitalfields Market), Elliott Porter (Fresh Service Ltd), Peter Thomas (Prescott Thomas Ltd) and Up- per Warden Chris Newenham (Wilkin & Sons, Tiptree) picked up the baton and created a wonderful and hugely successful stall! With 50 ‘solid silver’ (according to Elliott!) buckets of fruit and 50 jute bags of fruit to sell, our task was to encourage guests at the event to buy them all, and I’m pleased to report that we completely sold out!
